Remote Centre for IIRS

Sri Indu College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad has recognized as Remote center for Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) under Indian Space Research Organization, Department of Space, Govt. of India to conduct EDUSAT based Distance Learning Programme for Graduates, Post Graduates and Faculty members. IIRS is the best Training and Educational Institute set up for developing trained professionals in the field of Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics and GPS Technology for Natural Resources, Environmental and Disaster Management.

IIRS functions as a constituent Unit of Indian Space Research organization (ISRO), Department of Space, Government of India. Formerly known as Indian Photo-interpretation Institute (IPI), founded in 1966, the Institute boasts to be the first of its kind in entire South-East Asia. While nurturing its primary endeavor to build capacity among the user community by training mid-career professionals, the Institute has enhanced its capability and evolved many training & education programmes that are tuned to meet the requirements of various target groups, ranging from fresh graduates to policy makers including academia.

EDUSAT based Distance Learning Programme

EDUSAT based outreach programme (distance learning programme) of the Institute is the first of its kind in the country in the field of 'Earth Observation and Geo-Information Techniques.Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) and ISRO Dehradun Outreach Programme offering courses in Remote sensing,GIS & GNSS for faculty and students at the Institution without any fee through EDUSAT (Sharable Live &offline learning modes).
